Parkinson's is a neurological condition that causes uncontrolled or unintended movements such as shaking, difficulty with balance, stiffness, etc. It is a progressive disease, and the symptoms get worsen over time.

 

Causes

Although there is no specific cause for this disease, some studies suggest that it is caused by losing the nerve cell (produces chemical dopamine) part of the brain.  

 

Symptoms

Common Parkinson's Disease symptoms Include:

  • Tremors in hands, legs, jaws

  • Stiffness in arms, legs

  • Stoop Posture

  • Problem with balance

  • Slow movements

  • Cramped writing

  • Change in voice

  • Loss of ability to smell 

  • Difficulty swallowing and chewing

 

How to prevent it

This disease is difficult to prevent as the causes are still unknown. However, one can reduce risks by following a healthy diet, exercising, and consuming an antioxidant-rich diet.
